  18. RPI+ however has removed many of the glitches associated with early
  19. RPI modems which would only work from DOS with the supplied software.
  20. RPI+ provides a much faster DTE rate (up to 57k6 in Win3.1) and all
  21. the left-out functions of the original RPI.

  24. drivers under Win'95, the Zoom model 470 can operate in either Windows
  25. 3.n or Win'95 with a driver (which may provide operation with DOS-based
  26. programs in a DOS box) _or_ as a standard V34 hardware-based modem.
  27. Whether operated as hardware or a software modem, whether operated from
  28. DOS or a Win environment, both will give full 28k8 speeds.  There's also
  29. the option of larger "frame" or "page" sizes for LAP-M.
